Sir Alan in The Sunday Times (if you missed it)

If you have the patience then this Sunday Times interview (from a few weeks ago) Alan Sugar: I'll fire myself - that'll learn you gives a slightly skewed but interesting insight into the man (if you believe what the papers say).

Predictably a naff article about a sad man with preposterous ideas and a huge ego. It is time, Robert, to stop talking about these mindless idiots and spread your good word. Why waste your precious time worrying about him? You have a job to do. The message is clear.

I don't quite understand the relevance of Sir Alan to the small business community. Aopart from his post/role as Tzar. But his track record is largely irrelevant. As his attitude and the distorted view of business that his TV persona has created.

He came, the delegates loved/hated him, he left.

The world is still the same.

Except we, the taxpayers, paid his fee and it was the equivalent of a new small family car. What's the ROI on that I wonder!

It is another example of a vanity conference for the management team. "Look at my photo with Sir Alan" (puke, puke)

I also saw him. A sad, bitter man in the wrong post.
