Sea Diferente Y Gane or Bright Marketing!

Here's the Spanish version of Bright Marketing - my Spanish isn't that great but it seems to contain all the same stuff, but in Spanish!

I'm not Spanish either (though I do have Spanish relatives, & next time I speak to them I'll try to remember to ask them), but a striped rubber duck on the front cover doesn't seem to have the same impact as a Zebra's behind. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Spain is no doubt a massive market (45m), but what about the US, now that nearly half the entire US population is spanish speaking?

Is the Spanish title: Being different wins?

It would be interesting to know how competitve business publishing in Spain (and Spanish speaking world - South Amercia and Spanish speaking US) is. I would be surprised if it is as competitive as the US and UK markets.

Julian - I'm sorry to disagree, but I think you perhaps meant to say 12-15% of the US population is Spanish speaking, and not "nearly half."

The current US population level is just under 304 Million, of which 45Million are spanish speaking. The Spanish speakers traditionally fluctuate by around 10 Million each year due to immigration enforcement and seasonal work, which brings me to another point.

The problem is with the book market you suggest is that, only about 1.6 Million of the Spanish speaking population are self-employed or business owners. Only 30% of those actually pass literacy, and therefore the ability to absorb the superb tools on Robert's books.
I'm sorry to say, a much smaller market than you suggest.
I mean this in a nice way, but it just goes to show that anyone in the business advice game has a firm obligation to ensure that their advice is always well researched, and therefore sound.
What is good for the goose, is not always good for the gander...

RC, what about the new book sample chapter someone suggested? Any news for us?

Very sad news about Robert Craven. He contributed so much to business, he'll be missed. Our thoughts are with his family.

What happened? I didn't find anything in the news or on the website. Does anyone know?

Thanks to AS for putting me straight on numbers of US Spanish speakers....need to check my sources better...or rather double check.

Of course publishing a business book in Spanish means South America markets too.

RC what response have you had to your book in Spanish, and what opportunities are there for business books in the Spanish speaking world in your view?
