"This is all part of the fun of running a business"

When you are awake, middle of the night, just remember... it is only a game.

An interesting approach. Business doesn't feel like fun right now. It doesn't look like fun either.

But if we re-frame it as pleasurable rather than painful then our relationship with it will cetainly change. And subsequently the result should also change.

There are times where NLP can be of use.

  3. Yes and no! in my opinion. It is also really hard work. and it is serious and it is not a game.
And to win you need to play harder than others. But yes the right attitude stops you going bonkers.

  4. But what a wake up call ?
Remember it could be a client !
    What would you say ?
    Have you delivered ?
It might mean make or break for your business.
    Do you know your answer?
    If not maybe reflect ?
    It is your business
But agree 4am is a bit early - like my sleep :)

  5. Of course its a game.....thanks for reminding us that we have probably started our own businesses to have some fun. I suspect few of us are Heart surgeons...so what really is the worst that can go wrong? Enjoy!

  6. Actually I think he is serious. What really is the worst than go wrong?

You have your heath and enough food to put on your table. What else do you need? To quote the man, "All else is commentary"

  7. We need to keep a clear perspective on our work-life balance and what is really important to us. Without some clarity we would all go mad.

So how important is money compared with health?

Consider yourself suitably chastised, Prof. It is not always just fun - speak to my heart surgeon and assure me that he has not read your blog.
